General Warranty & Service

General Warranty:

SHOCKLAYER products are warranted to the consumer purchaser to be free of defects in material and workmanship for as long as the consumer owns the product. *Warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, environmental factors, accidental damage, misuse, industrial/commercial use. 

For the purchase from SHOCKLAYER, a defective product will be repaired, replaced, or substituted with a product of equal value. For more details, email at sales@shocklayerstudio.com. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which may vary from state to state.

Warranty Subject to Exclusions:

Exclusions pertaining to this warranty are as follows but are not limited to:

  • Freight damages: SHOCKLAYER is not liable for any product damages sustained during shipping or handling operations. SHOCKLAYER provides specific policies and requirements regarding shipping and handling and reserves the right to review and address product distribution matters separately.
  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Product negligence: A product is not considered defective due to misuse or improper installation. SHOCKLAYER products must be installed, used and maintained in accordance with product instructions and warnings.
  • Alterations or attachments to the product that were not approved by SHOCKLAYER.
  • All packaging material or corrugated components.

Return & Refund Policy:

Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately, we can’t offer you a refund.

  • To be eligible for a return & refund, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
  • To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
  • There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted: (if applicable) Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error. Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery.

Shipping Fees

Please note that the shipping fee is a standard non-refundable charge. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Refunds (if applicable)

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days. 

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at sales@shocklayerstudio.com

Sale items (if applicable)

Only regular-priced items may be refunded, unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges (if applicable)

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged.  If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at sales@shocklayerstudio.com and give you the instruction.

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you. If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return. 

Warranty Procedures:

 Please follow the warranty procedures described below to ensure apt and responsive service.

  1. Once a defect has been discovered, the original purchaser must contact SHOCKLAYER with the invoice or receipt.
  2. Upon inspection of the product(s), SHOCKLAYER will collect all relevant information necessary for review of the request.
  3. Product replacement, replacement parts, and repairs will be authorized by the SHOCKLAYER representative if acknowledged to be necessary under product warranty eligibility conditions.

Return Shipping:

To return your product, per our RMA, you should notify your return via email at sales@shocklayerstudio.com. You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for all FREE shipped products for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary. If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

RMA Instructions:

Products purchased through SHOCKLAYER or our distributors may be returned to SHOCKLAYER by following these steps:

  1. Contact SHOCKLAYER at sales@shocklayerstudio.com to obtain an RMA number.
  2. Completely fill out this form, and place the form in the box with the item(s) being returned.
  3. Clearly mark the outside of the box with the RMA number.
  4. Ship the item(s) to:

ALL ITEMS RETURNED TO SHOCKLAYER STUDIO MUST BE ORIGINAL PACKAGED CONDITION WITH NO SIGNS OF PRODUCT NEGLIGENCE.
